Terms of Use

1. Who we are

pixiq (the Windows app, the Android app and the pixiq Connect service) is published by Maskova Studio (Serbia). Contact: support@maskova.studio.

2. Using pixiq

You may install and use pixiq on your own devices, free of charge, for personal and professional use. You may not sell, rent or redistribute pixiq, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows. The open-source components inside pixiq are under their own licenses (see Licenses).

Use pixiq only with computers you own or are allowed to control. You're responsible for keeping your PIN, authenticator app and devices safe; anyone with a paired device can use your PC through pixiq.

3. pixiq Connect

pixiq Connect lets your paired devices reach your PC from anywhere. It is a subscription (€2.99 per month or €24.99 per year, with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers) bought and managed through Google Play, under Google Play's terms: Google charges you, renews the subscription until you cancel it, and handles refunds. You can cancel at any time in Google Play; the subscription then runs until the end of the paid period. Free trials convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel before they end.

One subscription covers up to 10 phones and tablets signed in to the same Google account, any number of PCs, and up to 4 Connect sessions at the same time. We may limit use that looks like abuse (for example sharing a subscription widely) and may change prices for future billing periods with notice through Google Play.

pixiq Connect depends on the internet and on third-party infrastructure. We aim for it to be always available but can't guarantee it. Some networks block the connections it needs. Local use over USB and Wi-Fi never depends on our servers.

4. Updates

The PC app tells you about new versions and installs them only when you choose to. We may require an update before pixiq connects again, for example after a security fix.

5. No warranty

pixiq is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will meet your needs or work without interruptions or errors. Keep backups of your work.

6. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages or lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for pixiq Connect in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

7. Ending

You can stop using pixiq at any time by uninstalling it. We may end pixiq Connect for accounts that break these terms. If we discontinue pixiq Connect, we'll give notice and stop billing; prepaid periods are refunded pro rata where Google Play allows.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and important changes are announced in the app. These terms are governed by the law of Serbia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence.
